Having a small kitchen poses many different problems for any family but for our house the main issue with out kitchens size is the lack of storage.  There are plenty of different ways on Pintrest that people have posted to help organize a kitchen.  After looking at those and searching for other ideas to maximize the storage we have in the kitchen we decided it was time to expand our cabinets into the entryway and breakfast nook.

Since we were trying to add value to the house with this project and do this on a budget, the most cost effect way to do this was to build the cabinets from scratch.  I do love wood working and building base cabinets was something I was super excited to try.  After tons of research on different features that would be good for our storage/ bar custom cabinets I found a link on ana-white.com on how to build a base cabinet.

Somewhere along the line the standard base cabinets turned into custom cabinetry with the addition of a dual tap kegerator.  That took some time to figure out the measurements but to be completely honest, it was well worth it.

Here are a couple pictures from along the wayIMG_2404
